No 111 The Great Bear. Introduced by Churchward in 1908, this locomotive lasted until 1924 when it was rebuilt in a Castle class. It was not a significant improvement over existing classes and was built to satisfy the Board of Directors. It was highly restricted due to weight problems and was used only on the Bristol - London line. Basically it was not of much use and the Castle Class was just as good.
