GWR No 36 - The first 4-6-0 built for the GWR by Dean and introduced in Aug 1896. This was a freight locomotive and was never intended for anything other than for hauling heavy freight from South Wales to Swindon. According to JNM the locomotive did that job very well but the design was not taken up and No 36 stayed as the only member of her Class - in fact it was the Class. Not particularly an elegant locomotive but the livery of the time spruces it up a bit. Unusually it had Mansell coach wheels in a double framed bogie. I've never heard of Mansell wheels being used for this purpose on any other locomotive.
